Technical Workshop on South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Nairobi, Kenya, from 2 – 4 May 2017 at the Hilton Hotel
The Government of Kenya and the United Nations Office for South-South Cooperation are jointly convening the Technical Workshop on South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development in Nairobi, Kenya, from 2 – 4 May 2017 at the Hilton Hotel. The Workshop will be organized with the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the UNDP Country Office in Kenya.
This workshop will provide an opportunity for participants to among other objectives exchange knowledge and experiences and learn about approaches in managing and promoting South-South and Triangular cooperation. The workshop will also acquaint participants with frameworks, mechanisms and tools for collaboration in identifying the national priorities in the countries’ respective sustainable development agendas and in building strategic partnerships.
In particular, the workshop will provide a platform for Kenya to learn from the existing best practices and experiences from other countries of the Global South which have institutionalized South-South cooperation. Besides, it presents an excellent opportunity for Kenya to showcase as well as share its innovations and best practices with its southern partners.
